A Congress Intoxicated With It's Self

Hello and good evening, it has been one of those bright, sunny days of Summer. A day that has been good down on the farm. But the day is not a good one if you are a member of Congress, there approval rating has fallen to a record low of 9%. If I encountered one hundred(100) people and only nine(9) thought I was doing a good job, there would be shame upon me. But not our handy dandy bunch of arrogant two by twice power hungry public servants. They just seem to want to tighten the reins of control even more. The people have spoken and we want to lift all bands on drilling, "deaf ears." The people have spoken there is to much taxing going on, "deaf ears." The people have spoken that there must be some accountability in our government, "Deaf ears." I have completely given up contacting my Senators on any subject, they reply with form responses and treat you like you are an idiot and have no idea about our government.

Arrogance peddles waste and haughtiness pursues itself with a love that will destroy all who come into contact with that individual.

We as a free and independent people must stand up to these who have become the problem instead of the solution. They must be held accountable by we the people. There is an election coming up soon. We the people, must show our displeasure at the ballot box, and not forget what has taken place in the Congress.

There was a good example of how much our government has blinded us. There was a column written on http://www.worldnetdaily.com/ by Joseph Farah entitled, "Who is to blame for gas prices?" The link to the column is, go to column. This is a great read and I highly recommend it.

I can tell you that on the farm things are pretty tough with the high fuel prices. Many farmers are cutting back on what they produce. This will not play well for the quantity of food in the stores.

There is one thing that gives me hope, the willingness of Americans to do the right thing and set our course on the proper alignment. It was done in the past and I believe it will be done again. May God bless our great nation.

Sleep safe, sleep sound my fellow American.

For all is well down on the farm.

The Old Farmer.
