We Have a Constitution

Hello, The Olympics are over and life is getting back to normal. But wait, now the Democrat's convention has started. It's another sporting activity with winners and losers.

I have not watched any of it but I have read some of the comments and am not impressed with the antics and conniving going on. In both parties can one find any grown ups in charge or is this it?

I am totally disappointed in the offerings we have this election cycle.

Does anyone remember the Constitution, does anyone embrace it?

More to come later.

If You Need a Hug, Give a Hug!

Hello, there are times when all seems well with everything that is around you. Today is one of those times. We had a good day at church and the fellowship was amazing. The weather when we
got home was fantastic. And the grandkids were all peaches and cream. What a blessing to enjoy.
Then there are times when you could sell out to the first one that has an offer. But don't despair when that occurs, for it will pass and I have noticed we have a tendency to forget the nasties and remember the great times with good clarity.

If you are down tonight , find someone to hug. If there isn't any one to hug, hug yourself. But hug someone or something. There is something nourishing about a hug, heck lets all get fat.

Just remember you are not alone. Especially if you are a Christian. We are never alone and that is the greatest knowledge and most fulfilling awareness one can have.

If you do not know the Lord get in touch with Him now and live.

When We Care We All Win!

Hello, and good morning. Are you watching the Olympics on TV? I sure am and I said I wasn't going to get caught up in it this time.

The thrill of competition can draw you in like a very strong magnet. It got me last night with the men's relay team in swimming. The heavily favoured French with their trash talking members got the blood moving again. And boy that finish by the anchor swimmer. We got the gold, go USA.

There seems to be a sense of camaraderie and togetherness when it comes to competition in sports. I find my self saying things like, we, us, and ours when talking of events and accomplishments. I don't know how other countries act during this time, but in America we have talked like this for most of 388 years. I am going back as far as the Pilgrims.

We as Americans seem to be drawn together in tough times and good times. We are different and you can dance around this issue all you want but in the end you have to see we are different. Not in a bad sense but in heart warming sense.

I can best explain what I mean with an example of a sporting event that happened 15 years ago. My sons were on the cross country team of our local school. We all were at a meet and enjoying the festivities and the race my sons were in. We were rooting them along through the race, finally everyone was at the finish line to shout and clap and cheer. In they come and we were victorious, hurrah! As we celebrated and were ecstatic about there finish other racers were still crossing the finish line to their fans celebrations. When all was said and done every one was happy. But out on the course was a lone runner struggling along. He was not one of the top athletes to say the least but he was trying and faltering a little. People started to gather along the course and root him along, even the runners that had just finished the race. You would of thought he was leading the Boston Marathon and by golly he finished to cheers and hoops and clapping.

You see, that is America. We celebrate our victories and have compassion for those who are struggling. We reach out to the ones in need and celebrate their victories also. Only in America can you find this kind of spirit in such abundance.

Go America and may God Bless.

Go America

Hello, the Olympics are in full swing now. I love watching the competition and rutting on the American athletes.

I see that one of the Iranian swimmers refused to swim against an Israeli swimmer. So much for the spirit of the Olympics.

Iran is one of the most dangerous countries in the world. For this reason, their president would like nothing better than to start WWIII. In fact He thinks it is his calling in life to start this war.

A nuclear weapon in the hands of this idiot is like playing Russian roulette with every chamber loaded. He must be stopped or we had better be prepared for all out war.

So watch the Olympics and rest easy for now.

Hang Tough, Hang Close America

Hello, I see that oil is coming down a little. I hope people don't ease up on the pressure being put on our politicians. Even those that seem to disappear when things start getting a little tough.

We are in a situation that can not be handled unless we all roll up our sleeves and work together. Americans have always been able to do what ever is necessary to achieve the impossible. Boy, just take a look at the history of this country and be amazed.

I love the way our countrymen come through in a pinch. Turn us loose and stand back and watch us get it done. But we can not function with big government on our backs. They have to rein in their spending and their cumbersome bills that they drape around our necks.

American ingenuity is the best, bar none, our countrymen can and will come up with alternatives to energy from oil. We can do it, but please congress don't tie our hands. Set us free and let us take care of ourselves

A lot of our trouble comes from those that think they are God's answer to our need for leadership. In reality they are screwing things up. They are sabotaging our effort with there pork barrel politics and the laws they pass to control us whether we need it or not.

Being enslaved by someone you elect and trust leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. And causes the blood pressure to rise. I truly believe that we need to clean house and senate as soon as this next election cycle comes. We need to send a message.

Hang tough, hang close my fellow Americans, and may God richly bless each of us.

For all is well down on the farm.

There Is Still The Need To Drill

Hello, I see that the Republicans are still fighting hard for lifting the ban on drilling for oil. They are still debating the bill even thought he house speaker and her handy dandy bunch of gangsters are on vacation while we the people are suffering from being held hostage by the Arab oil countries.

Will someone please tell house speaker Polosi that she is not irreplaceable or any of her sidekicks masquerading as servants of the people. That they have a responsibility to us not the environmental wackos that seem to rule the roost.

Is house speaker Polosi so insulated from the people that she does not have a clue to are needs? Or is she just so arrogant that we the peons have nothing to say to her Majesty? Does she think that she can escape the after math of this explosive situation? She must!

My fellow Americans, now is the time, now is the opportunity, now we must make a stand and take back our country. We need to rip the controls of this fair and great land out of the hands of the power hungry, out of the hands of the unimpressable people like Nancy Polosi. She must be impressed with who truly has the power. And that is us, at least for a while. We need to make our voices heard and heard again until we are in control again. Hang in there, the fight has just begun. May God bless America.

We Have But One Life To Live - Live It!

Hello, it was one of those rare days when all went very well. I celebrated my birthday along with my granddaughter and daughter. We had our usual family get together with it's usual fun and frolic. I thank God for family and the closeness we have.

Also today we had a carry in at church and a great time eating together. If you have never experience a church a meal together at church with a church family, boy oh boy, you have never lived. For some reason the food is out of this world.

Also today at church we had a missionary that is in the field in Spain. He told us all the things going on with the work he is doing. But what hit the hardest is that he lost his wife to cancer this past March. He took us through the life of his dear wife. It was sad and very moving. I am sure he misses her as do we all for they were well known at our church because we supported their work financially. She is home with the Lord she served and loved with all her heart.

People ask why would God takes someone so young and vibrant away from what you would think is the calling of her life. Only God knows the answer to that one. But her husband said something that hit me with great promise. The Lord Jesus Christ loved her so much that he wanted her to be with him for all eternity. She now resides in a perfect place with no pain from cancer and no worries. Its hard to let go but to know the Lord is to love him.

This kind of happening is always a wake up call for us left on the earth. We need to take advantage of every moment and every second with our loved one and friends. We do not know the hour or the time of our departure from this life. And if you have never come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ then you had better get that taken care of first. The alternative to heaven and Christ is not a pleasing one.

Friend lets try to make the most of what we have been given in this life. Lets try to be the kind of people that are pleasing to be around. We must love first before we can appreciate being loved.
May God richly bless each of us with His amazing grace.

For all is well down on the farm.

House Speaker Pelosi A Failure At Her Job

Hello, I have just finished reading about the hand full of Republicans that held out on the floor of the house chamber trying to get a vote for drilling for oil off shore. It seem that the Democrats with their fearless leader have gone home for a five week vacation. House speaker, Nancy Pelosi still refuses to allow a vote on drilling off shore. House speaker Pelosi and her majority band of Democrats are thwarting the will of the majority of Americans. When they left they turned the lights out and shut off the microphone, but the Republicans stayed their course for a while. For some the will of the people is important.

House Speaker Pelosi has written a book that is now selling on amazon.com. It's sales potion is so low that you would have to jump up just to see the bottom. This is a good example of her popularity with the American people. The woman must not have any feelings of shame for how people are reacting to this book and her activities in the House of Representatives. She is worth millions so our needs do not seem to have an effect on her. Maybe if she had to live paycheck to paycheck she might have an attitude adjustment.

Congress, especially the Democrats must start taking notice of the will of the people and act accordingly. We need, no we must drill now with all do speed and with in safety limits of course. But our livelihood is slipping away from us and they the congress are doing nothing but playing politics with our future and the future of our families. This must stop now. We, as a free people need to make our voices heard. Not only by House Speaker Pelosi, but all of our government servants. They who are suppose to serve and be sensitive to our desires. If they will not accept the responsibility of their position, then we need to make sure that their future positron is one of unemployment.

Our cry should be one of , throw the arrogant, self serving, manipulative, power thirsty and totally untrustworthy bums out on their ear. There should be a total house cleaning and message sent to future members of congress that these kind of antics will not be tolerated.
May God help us and may God bless America.

For all is well down on the farm.

Have a Good Day

Hello, a good day to be alive and enjoy your family. I can only wish the best for those that have who struggle to do the right thing in their daily lives. Sometimes we have choices to make and we do not weigh all the information before we have at it. We do not consider the affect on those around us. That is to bad and can lead to much sorrow. Think of others and chose a course that is right. Always tell the truth and you will never have to try and remember what you said. Have a good day.
